MONOCHROME AESTHETICS

University work for the second module of 1st year.

For my nd module within 1st year of University, we looked at Photography Fundamentals and working in Black and White. Looking behind why a photographer might use black and white and in what way they might use it. This project for me has been solely based on the everyday abstractions that I see on a regular basis on my travels to and from work, and out on a daily walk whilst being restricted in a global lockdown. My main intentions for this project was to use 'monochrome aesthetics' to show these everyday abstractions in a very fine art, expressive/abstract way, which comes under one of the photography legacies, and under the New Vision modernist movement idea.
