ALL ABOUT ME
Hi there, I'm Courtney. I'm a young creative practitioner from South Wales, UK. I'm currently a university student at Cardiff Metropolitan, and I'm based in Cardiff in the meantime, however, I'm originally from Neath Port Talbot.

I went to Neath Port Talbot College, to study Fine Art, Photography, and Media studies, which ensured my love for Photography even more, which surprised me since I was very much about Fine Art. However, I left college with a B in fine art and photography and a C in media studies.
From a young age, I've always had some form of a creative eye and inspiration to create art. From being aspirational at 7 years old, thinking I'd be a fashion designer in New York by now, to being a photography student in Cardiff Metropolitan. Where I have collaborated with Fine Art, Fashion, and Textiles student, creating many good friends also. Not forgetting other types of students for the more academic work, which also meant writing an essay around memes, no joke!

I have dabbled in fine art, media studies, and photography, and I think photography may be the one, but who knows? I may want to go back to being a fashion designer like my 7-year-old self dreamed of. But for the moment, it's my passion and I would love to make a career out of it.

I'm incredibly inspired by many photographers that I come across through my research and generally getting inspired by looking at Instagram. Through these inspirations, my style of photography changes a lot, meaning I take a lot of photos of many different things in different ways. So I don't particularly have my own style... yet. However, I'm working towards my skill set and where my own research and practice takes me.

I'm mainly fond of portrait photography, and I find myself very comfortable working in the studio, however portrait work as a whole fits well for me. I'm definitely trying to work harder on my street photography as I would love to explore a lot more in that, just need to work on my confidence.
I aspire to travel by working as a Photographer, anywhere and everywhere. Particularly to do with culture, taking photos of cultures around the world, and would love to start that off in Asia.
